Some of Our Favorite Experiences
Loreto possesses a cultural and natural history unlike any in the world. These are some of our favorite experiences that present its unique people, customs, plants, and animals.
Cooking Classes
Gastronomy and the culinary arts are cultural windows. Come explore national, regional and local cooking styles.
Cost: $800 pesos per person.
Mule Ride and Ranch Tours
Experience a glimpse of traditional ranch life that has changed little since 18th century Spanish settlement. Local guides will take you into the spectacular Sierra La Giganta to visit remote canyons, cactus valleys, desert oasis, and local ranches that produce their own food.
Cost: $65 - $170 usd depending upon the excursion (January 2024).
Scuba Diving and Snorkeling
Loreto is located adjacent to the Loreto Bay National Marine Park, a preeminent location for exploring marine environments. Jacques Cousteau described the Gulf of California as the “world’s aquarium”. One of the best ways to explore the park is of course underwater either snorkeling or scuba diving. Blue Nation is a five-star service provider and we enjoy working with them..
